The FIJI group finally got together again on this fine sunny Sunday morning on my birthday.

SALSA TASTING

John's salsa this week was La Victoria Thick n' Crunchy Hot. There were other tennis players who happened to be around so we invited them to be our guest tasters. Their ratings are as follows:

The FIJI ratings by secret ballot were: 7.5, 8.0, 7.3, 8.3. Average: 7.78

TENNIS

John and Larry defeated Zack and Cyp in straight sets: 6-4, 6-4.

The morning was nothing to write home about. Dwight and Richard C. were subbing for Cyp and Zack. The regulars are expected back next Sunday.

SALSA TASTING

Larry brought Salpica Fall Harvest Salsa - Medium that he obtained at Cost Plus. The ratings were as follows:

7.3, 7.4, 7.7, 8 Avg. 7.6

The birds did not show up. They have not been present very much since the trees were severely cut back.

TENNIS

The ratings were used for the teams. John and Richard C. played against Larry and Dwight. Dwight had just returned from Bhutan. Dwight brought all of his good Karma from Bhutan as he had 6 successful tape shots for points in the first set. Unfortunately the good karma was not strong enough as John and Richard C. won both sets 7-5 and 6-1.

The first day of October was very cool. Zack is in Hawaii playing tennis and Cyp was entertaining his brother. Rich T. and Harry subbed for them.

SALSA TASTING

Larry brought El Paso Jungle Rumba salsa (Med.) for the tasting. The ratings were as follows:

6.8, 7, 7.1 Avg. 7

Harry did not stay for the tasting. The bird showed up as we were leaving.

TENNIS

John was bothered by his knee but seemed to have overcome the problem as he and Larry bested Rich T./Harry in two sets (6-3, 6-3).
