Sunday Tennis All Guys Except Carmel

Carmel and Rudy subbed for Zack and Cyp. Zack showed up for RAT and brought the Salsa. It was Safeway's Select (Hot) amended with pineapple chunks. The Bird showed up but did not participate in the tasting.

The ratings were: 7.5, 7.3, 8.0, 7.1, 7.5. Average: 7.48

The good news was that it was ten to fifteen degrees warmer than last week. The bad news was that it was very windy.

SALSA TASTING

Rich brought Tropical Fruit Salsa - Med. that he purchased at Harry and Davids. The ratings were as follows:

TENNIS

The teams were selected in accordance with the ratings and were Rudy and Rich versus Larry and Bill. Bill's racket was being restrung so Rich lent him one of his rackets. Rudy and Rich prevailed in both sets (6-0, 6-4).

C-O-O-O-LD was the word this morning. Between shivers suggestions were heard to adjourn to the warm cardio area where a sight to behold was reported to have been spotted. Common sense prevailed and we proceeded to play our Sunday morning tennis.

SALSA TASTING

Bill brought the Hot Salsa from the Safeway Deli. The ratings were as follows:

TENNIS

Since Bill did not have a rating we spun for partners and the teams were Bill and Rudy versus John and Larry. Rudy and Bill prevailed over John and Larry in two close sets by the identical set scores of 7-5.

Zack injured himself in Saturday tennis yesterday and has now joined Cyp on the injured list.

FIJI STAG 1/7/07

Rudy subbed for Cyp today.

SALSA TASTING

Rudy brought an amended salsa with lots of avocado and tomatoes. However, he forgot to bring the jar so we didn't have any info about the original salsa, except maybe it came from Safeway. The ratings were: 8.0, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0. Average: 8.38.

TENNIS

Rudy and Larry defeated John and Zack 6-2 in the first set, then John and Zack came back and won the second set 7-5. In lieu of a third set, the match was decided by RPS between Rudy and Zack, with Zack's rock winning over Rudy's scissors.

This was the last FIJI STAG of the year, and what a perfect day for tennis.
Rudy subbed for Cyp today.

SALSA TASTING
Zack brought Newman's Black Bean and Corn SAlsa, All Natural. The ratings were: 9.0, 8.0, 7.8, 7.3. Average: 8.03.

TENNIS

John and Larry defeated Zack and Rudy 7-6, 3-2. We decided to shorten the second set because we wanted to have RAT before the club closed at noon.
